Definition
Ability to identify and understand the essential aspects of problems in order to be able to prioritize them, evaluate significant facts, and develop possible solutions by resorting to both experience and creativity in order to arrive at an effective solution in a timely manner.
Behavioral indicators:
- Identifies problematic situations in a timely manner, activating the necessary resources and evaluating their impact on established goals;
- Isolates complex topics, assesses the degree of priority and urgency of the problem;
- Analyze the available facts and data to make decisions, assessing the actors involved, constraints, similarities and differences useful for identifying causes and solutions;
- Evaluates the pros and cons, feasibility, and possible consequences of alternative actions when it is not possible to follow paths already mapped out;
- Makes timely decisions even in the absence of complete information when time is tight.
